The idea was born in India in the 1930s: inspired by a Maharajah who surrounded himself with free animals, Paul and Hélène Jourde, founders of the park, in turn created an earthly paradise, faithful to the Buddhist ideal of harmony between man and nature. As the Park evolves, the Branféré concept strengthens the links between animals, plants and humans, in an ideal setting for developing environmental education.
